dkk server: member rights (MR)

  1. You will be treated fairly, equally, and without personal bias by server administrators and moderators with respect to enforcement of established server rules.
  2. All members have the right to view the server’s audit logs without restriction.
  3. All members with enforcement responsibilities and permissions must be clearly designated or declared, as public information.
  4. You have the right to receive and send messages in any unorganized channel.
    1. This excludes text channels which are created:
      1. for temporary events
      2. for special purposes that do not allow free-form discussion
      3. for the display of public information
    2. Messages sent must respect server rules.
  5. You have the right to request an official conflict resolution.
    1. The conflict in question does not necessarily need to violate any server rules.
    2. If you make such a request, a majority vote by the Council will determine if an investigatory Panel will be formed.
      1. If a Panel is formed, you have the right to know the outcome of that Panel’s investigation.
  6. You have a right against self incrimination. You do not have to answer an investigatory Panel’s questions.
    • Note: Making false statements to an investigatory Panel is not against any server rule. However, you may be subject to additional investigations and sanctions for poor conduct.
  7. If you are being investigated, you have the right to
    1. know that you are being investigated
    2. know what you are being investigated for
    3. a fair proceeding and due process as specified in the Council guidelines
    4. defend and represent your interests
    5. know what the outcome of the investigation is
  8. If you are sanctioned, you have the right to
    1. know what you are being sanctioned for
    2. know what the terms of the sanction are
    3. request an appeal
      1. If you are sanctioned following a Panel’s investigation:
        1. An appeal may be denied if:
          1. you have already unsuccessfully appealed
          2. if a substantial amount of time has passed
          3. if the original Panel members can no longer reconvene
        2. Successful appeals to Panel rulings will result in the reconvening of the original Panel.
      2. If you are sanctioned by a server administrator or moderator:
        1. An appeal may be denied if:
          1. you have already unsuccessfully appealed
          2. if a substantial amount of time has passed
        2. Appeals to executive sanctions are classified as a request for conflict resolution, requiring a majority Council vote to form a new Panel.
